PhilHealth advocates mandatory use of Electronic Premium Reporting System

The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation is now advocating the mandatory use of Electronic Premium Reporting System (EPRS) in the preparation and submission of monthly remittance reports.

In the latest PhilHealth advisory signed by its President and Chief Executive Officer Eduardo Banzon, all employers from the government and private sectors are required to use the EPRS in preparing and submitting monthly remittance reports effective immediately.

Consequently, other reporting schemes except for the PhilHealth Premium Remittance Scheme-Positive/Negative (PPRS-PN), will gradually be phased out.

It is expected therefore, that before the end of year 2012, all remittance reports should be processed using the EPRS.

Regional Public Relations Officer Irene Martinez clarified however, that employers with 10 employees or less may submit their remittance report quarterly in hardcopy format.

Employers are hereby advised to contact or coordinate with the nearest PhilHealth office regarding the orientation, training and subsequent registration to the EPRS. (JCR/VHS-PIA 1 Pangasinan/PhilHealth)
